2021 Sixes National Lacrosse Series - Head Coach EOI

Lacrosse WA is excited to host a new format event called “Sixes National Lacrosse Series” (NLS). The NLS is a unified localised Series that will provide a higher level of lacrosse for WA U15, U18 and Senior players.  Under the NLS banner LWA will host the NLS West.

The innovation of this series was a response to the cancellation of all Lacrosse Australia events due to Covid-19 and in lieu of sending representative teams to U18’s and Senior’s this year.

LWA is calling for Head Coaches to lead our U15, U18 and Senior "Sixes National Lacrosse Series" Teams.

On the back of World Lacrosse’s announcement that Lacrosse has been granted Full Recognition by the International Olympic Committee and with World Sixers playing a predominate role in the development and growth of lacrosse, the 2021 NLS will not only serve as a pathway for our High Performance athletes, but coaches as well. 

The 2021 NLS will be held at the end of the school holidays from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th of October.  Venue TBC.

Expressions of Interest for Head Coaches are due by due by Monday the 2nd of August.  Interviews will be conducted on the 3rd and 4th of August with appointments announced on the LWA website on the 6th of August. 

Head Coaches are required for the following teams:

U15 Girls – 4 Head Coach positions

U15 Boys - 4 Head Coach positions

U18 Girls - 3 Head Coach positions

U18 Boys - 3 Head Coach positions

Senior Women – 2 Head Coach positions

Senior Men – 2 Head Coach positions

Note that number of Head Coach positions will be guided by player registrations.

All coaching staff must hold a current WWC card and complete the Sport Integrity Australia on-line courses in “Harassment and Discrimination Practices” and “Child Protection Practices”. LInk to courses here.
